Antigua GFC is set to compete in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for the first time after capturing its first Guatemalan crown, winning the 2015 Apertura by defeating Guastatoya, 3-2 on aggregate, in the final. Alejandro Diaz scored the lone goal in a 2-1 series-opening loss, while Oscar Isaula and Edger Chinchilla netted once apiece in the second leg. Antigua GFC is the sixth different team from Guatemala to earn a Champions League berth. Forward Agustin Herrera has five career Champions League goals (four with Santos, one with Comunicaciones).
