Allstate Save of the Game (Emily Alvarado, Mexico / Penalty Kick Shootout)

With Mexico looking to capture its first CONCACAF Under-20 Women’s Championship crown on Sunday, goalkeeper Emily Alvarado came up huge in the final’s penalty kick shootout after 1-1 stalemate.  The Mexicans had a 2-1 lead after three rounds, when Alvarado pounced off her line and ranged to her right to push aside Kiara Pickett’s attempt.  It proved to be the momentum-changing moment as Alvarado earned the Allstate Save of the Game and Mexico celebrated a title.
