CONCACAF.com provides an offering of storylines for you to follow during domestic league action this weekend:

Due to elections, this weekend's only 2018 Clausura match will be played Friday, when fifth-place Alajuelense (4W-1D-2L, 13 points) hosts the only remaining unbeaten side -- fourth-place Guadalupe (3-4-0, 13).

With a win over last-place visitor Audaz (0-2-2, 2) on Sunday, first-place Alianza (4-0-0, 12) will extend its winning streak to five games to open the 2018 Clausura campaign. The Albos completed the 2017 Apertura season with an overall record of 16W-11D-0L. In the 12-team league, besides Alianza, no team has more than a one-game winning streak.

The featured 2018 Clausura match of the weekend will be contested Sunday as second-place Olimpia (2-2-0, 8) hosts first-place Motagua (3-1-0, 10). In the four 2017 Apertura meetings between the rivals, both have earned one win.

There's only one 2017/18 Red Stripe Premier League game this weekend as 10th-place Montego Bay United welcomes seventh-place Harbour View (8-6-10, 30), which sits two points outside the playoff pictutre. First-place Portmore United (16-5-4, 53), which has won its last two games, is idle this weekend.

Table-topping Pumas (2-2-0, 8) will put its unbeaten 2018 Liga MX Clausura record on the line Sunday, when 2017 Apertura champion Tigres (2-1-1, 7) visits the Estadio Olimpico Universitario. In their last meeting, goals by Eduardo Vargas and Andre-Pierre Gignac lifted host UANL to a 2-0 win.

In the 10-team Clausura, four sides have exactly six points, while the other six sit on one point or fewer. The match to watch will take place Saturday as Diriangen - the first-place team on goal difference - hosts 2017 Apertura champion Walter Ferretti.

Coming off a weekend in which each of the five matches ended in a draw, the 2018 Panamanian Clausura will look to produce a winner in the fifth round of matches. On Friday, first-place Arabe Unido (3-1-0, 10) hosts ninth-place Santa Gema (0-2-2, 2). The Expreso Azul has posted shutouts in its opening pair of home games.
